The Pearl Now Open at The Forge Space, Hatton Garden

Last night marked the opening of The Pearl, the latest showcase at The Forge Space in Hatton Garden, London and what an evening it was!

This year, The Forge Space is taking inspiration from literature to curate their monthly shows, and this month's exhibition draws from John Steinbeck's timeless novella, The Pearl. It's a beautiful concept, and the work on show reflects that richness beautifully.

My feature piece is Thread of Time — a long pearl necklace handknotted in soft water pearls and Ethiopian opals, with vibrant multicoloured thread woven between each pearl. The knotting is deliberately imperfect; where strands meet oddly, where knots gather unevenly. Each knot represents something, a moment of growth, an ache, a turning point. It's an ode to a beautiful, imperfect life.

I'm thrilled to have my work included alongside so many incredibly talented designers. The exhibition runs until 30th June. If you're in London, I'd love for you to come and see it in person. Let me know and I’ll try to meet you there.
